Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby led the way as the team opened the 2022-23 season with a comfortable 6-2 victory over Arizona Thursday night. The Penguins captain opened the scoring just 82 seconds into the first period and ended up totaling a goal and two assists across the whole game in 18:22 of ice time. Two of his points came with the man advantage and Crosby also had seven shots with one hit and two penalty minutes. The veteran star clearly enjoyed himself out there as he entered the history books with another record - no other player has skated 18 seasons for the Penguins.
