After Thursday's round of five-under 67, Si Woo Kim had visions of becoming the Players Championship's first back-to-back winner. Unfortunately for Kim, he spiraled in the wrong direction over his next three rounds, finishing with a 72, 74 and 72. Thursday's round of 67 for Kim marked the lowest opening round by a defending champion in the history of the tournament. Kim's eventual T63 finish will undoubtedly be disappointing, mostly when considering he had the share of the lead for a portion of Thursday's round.
