Shohei Ohtani "Doing Great"
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels manager Joe Maddon said that starting pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani (elbow) is fully healthy and will be ready to serve as a two-way player to begin the 2020 season. Ohtani threw a bullpen session on Friday and will continue to take batting practice to prepare for his role as the DH. "He’s doing great," Maddon said. "He looks great, he looks really good in the batter’s box, too." The Japanese two-way star's fantasy value is on the rise. He's excellent for DFS purposes as a pitcher and hitter with power and speed. Ohtani should be considered a SP3 with some upside while also providing fantasy owners with a power-speed bat occasionally in leagues with daily lineup changes.
