Shohei Ohtani Could Return Tuesday
Shohei Ohtani (elbow) "could" play after his live batting practice session on Friday if everything goes well. There's a chance he could be back as soon as Tuesday in Detroit. Ohtani is recovering from Tommy John surgery last October and while he won't pitch at all in 2019, he figures to be the Halos primary designated hitter when he makes his season debut. The Japanese star hit .285 with 22 homers and 10 stolen bases in limited at-bats in his rookie season, so he needs to be owned everywhere for his impending return.
