Denver Broncos strong safety Shamarko Thomas (eye) suffered an eye injury in Friday's preseason road win against the Washington Redskins. He will be hospitalized overnight in a D.C. area hospital for evaluation of a possible detached retina. Thomas was signed two weeks ago to replace Jamal Carter, who suffered a season-ending torn hamstring. The good news is that was the only notable injury on defense for Denver. The Broncos allowed just 256 total yards and 16 first downs in the all-important third preseason game. The Denver DST will be a low-end No. 1 unit across most fantasy formats as long as their key contributors can remain healthy.--Daniel DobishRead More News
