Free-agent catcher Yadier Molina said that several teams have expressed interest in signing him this offseason, including the San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Angels, New York Mets and New York Yankees. Molina is looking for a two-year deal with a contending team and isn't focused on the money aspect. At this point in his career, the veteran backstop is prioritizing winning another championship before he retires. He'd also prefer to return to the Cardinals, with whom he's spent his entire 17-year career, but it's unclear if St. Louis will try to re-sign Molina and right-hander Adam Wainwright amid financial concerns due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 38-year-old catcher remains an excellent defender but is more of a second catcher in two-catcher fantasy leagues for his bat.--Keith HernandezRead More News
