6/25:On June 10, New York Mets starting pitcher Seth Lugo was looking like he was ready to take on the world after blanking the New York Yankees across six innings pitched with eight strikeouts. In his two starts since, however, he’s allowed five and six runs (three earned), on the road against the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies, respectively. On Monday, Lugo and the Mets are at home to take on the Pittsburgh Pirates in a matchup that Lugo should be able to manipulate. When on the road, Pittsburgh ranks 22nd in run production, although they’ve struck out the third-least in the Majors. While Lugo may not pile up the strikeouts on Monday, he should be a solid bet for a good ERA and likely a quality start.--John Smith
