1 year agoChicago Blackhawks defenseman Seth Jones (upper body) isn't with the team for a short two-game-road trip, which starts on Tuesday in Edmonton. He sustained an upper-body injury on Sunday versus Washington and will come out of the lineup for the first time this season. Jones' absence leaves a huge gap to fill at the back for Chicago, as the 28-year-old leads all skaters on the team in average ice time with 25:25 and regularly contributes at both ends of the ice. In 27 outings, Jones has tallied 11 points with 25 hits and 64 blocks. Alex Vlasic should get the biggest boost from Jones' absence, as he's set to take over his position on the top power-play unit.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
