12 months agoTampa Bay Rays closer Sergio Romo had a rough outing Wednesday versus the Orioles. He came into the ninth inning with a one-run lead. He would not record an out and allowed three straight hits, with the last one driving in two runs. He would take the loss, a day after earning a win. Romo has 13 saves but now also has blown seven to go with five games opened. Romo will continue to be worth owning in most leagues that reward saves as long as he retains his closing job. The biggest threat to his position will be if the Rays turn their attention to the future. If they choose to get a look at their future, young arms like Jose Alvarado could take over the job.--Jamie Mellor - RotoBaller
