Sebastian Walcott Goes Deep, Swipes A Bag On Tuesday
Sebastian Walcott went 2-for-5 at the plate with a home run, two RBI, a walk, and a stolen base during the contest against Double-A Corpus Christi. Walcott has begun to heat up over his last nine games. During this stretch, the 19-year-old has posted a .270/.325/.405 line with two doubles, a home run, and three stolen bases. Prior to this stretch, Walcott held a .233/.362/.372 line over his first 23 games of the season at Double-A. Last season, Walcott spent the majority of his season at High-A before earning a late-season taste of Double-A. In 116 games with High-A Hickory, the No. 9-ranked prospect in the sport on MLB.com, held a .261/.342/.443 line with 10 home runs and 26 stolen bases. If Walcott continues to find his footing at Double-A, he could be in the mix to reach Triple-A later this season.
