6 years agoSeattle Seahawks kicker Sebastian Janikowski was perfect on field goals once again, but that isn’t what put him on the highlight reels this week. Instead, Janikowski is making all the worst play countdowns this week after he made zero effort to tackle Richie James on a kickoff return that went for a touchdown. Janikowski had a clear angle on James and was the last man who could stop him, but he instead slowed and didn’t even put his arms out as James ran right by him. It’s particularly egregious since SeaBass is listed at 6’1” and 260 pounds, so he brings a level of power to the field that smaller kickers can’t provide. The shameful display obviously proved to be a back-breaker since Seattle barely lost the game, but hopefully Janikowski will make a different choice in the future.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
