Calgary Flames center Sean Monahan is being shut down for the rest of the 2017/18 NHL season. Reports are indicating that Monahan has been dealing with two substantial injuries that have required injections in two separate places. With Calgary looking desperately outside of the playoff bubble, it makes full sense as to why the top line pivot is being shut down. Monahan had a brilliant career defining season in which he registered career highs of 31 goals & 64 points. Look for a strong bounce back from him next year.--Amir Salehnia
