7 months agoCalgary Flames center Sean Monahan left Friday night's game with an illness and will not travel with the team as they face off against the Jets on Saturday. According to head coach Bill Peters, this is a similar illness to the one that kept Mike Smith out of action earlier in the week, so there is some concern that it could spread through the locker room. There will undoubtedly be some line juggling to cover for Monahan's absence, but with a key piece of one of the league's most productive lines missing, the value of Johnny Gaudreau and Elias Lindholm takes a slight hit for Saturday. After Saturday, the Flames do not play until Tuesday, which hopefully will give Monahan enough time to recover and not miss any more games.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
