The Seattle Seahawks released defensive end Aldon Smith on Wednesday, according to a source. Smith produced 48 tackles and five sacks over a full season with the Dallas Cowboys in 2020 in his return to football. He parlayed that into a one-year deal with Seattle back in April, but he's back on the open market with the 2021 regular season quickly approaching after he was arrested for alleged second-degree battery. The 31-year-old pass-rusher was a first-round pick by the San Francisco 49ers in 2011. Smith made the Pro Bowl and was a first-team All-Pro in his second season in 2012, but off-the-field incidents kept him out from 2016 to last year, and there's a real chance that he won't be given another opportunity in the NFL.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
