Seahawks Looking To Involve Gerald Everett More?
3 years agoSeattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll thinks that the team needs to find more ways to get tight end Gerald Everett the ball, saying that his physicality after the catch "screams that we have to keep going to him." Everett has been more involved since quarterback Russell Wilson returned from Injured Reserve, as he's seen 12 targets and has turned it into 11 catches for 100 yards in Weeks 10 and 11. But the offense as a whole has been lackluster, which begs the question: Should the Seahawks really keep involving Everett if they're losing while doing so? The 27-year-old hasn't found the end zone since Week 1 and doesn't have more than five catches or 54 yards outside of his eight-catch, 63-yard game in Week 10. Fantasy managers can't bank on Everett's volume increasing even more, so he'll remain a touchdown-dependent, low-end TE2.
