Sandy Alcantara Loses Despite Eight Strong Innings
4 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara was excellent on Tuesday night but ended up taking the loss as the Marlins offense could not get a run on the board. Alcantara pitched eight innings, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out four. Unfortunately, one of the hits he allowed was a Rhys Hoskins home run which came right after the only other hit he allowed. It was an excellent performance by Alcantara, who only threw 93 pitches. He's been excellent since his blow up game against the Dodgers a few weeks ago.
