3 years agoBaltimore Ravens wide receiver Sammy Watkins (thigh) missed practice on Wednesday after being forced from the Monday night game against the Indianapolis Colts early. The veteran pass-catcher will probably need to get in some sort of practice later this week to have a shot at playing in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Rookie Rashod Bateman (groin) is getting close to a return from Injured Reserve, too, so even if Watkins doesn't miss any time, his role could be shrinking sooner than later. Watkins had exactly four catches in the first four weeks before grabbing only two of his three targets for 35 yards on Monday before his injury. He's still looking for his first TD of 2021. If Watkins is unable to go on Sunday, James Proche II, Devin Duvernay and Miles Boykin could take on bigger roles.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
