3 years agoCarolina Panthers head coach Matt Rhule told reporters that quarterback Sam Darnold (shoulder) will have an MRI exam on Monday, and the focus remains on his health heading into Week 10. If he cannot play against the Arizona Cardinals this weekend, P.J. Walker would get the start under center. The 24-year-old also recovered from a concussion last week to play against the New England Patriots, but he was a disaster, going 16-for-33 for only 172 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions. It hasn't helped that he's been injured in recent weeks, but Darnold has been awful, going over 200 yards passing just once in the last four weeks, and he hasn't thrown a TD pass since Week 6.
