Saints Expected To Add Linemen Early In Draft
2 years agoWith New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr already penciled in as the starter, the Saints are expected to add to the trenches in this year's draft, according to a source who has knowledge of the team's plans. The Saints are expected to be aggressive in fortifying both offensive and defensive lines, especially after losing key pieces on the defensive side this offseason. Left guard is a big question mark on the O-line, and they could add competition for Andrus Peat. Florida's O'Cyrus Torrence and Steve Avila could be options on the first two days. Defensive tackle is New Orleans' biggest need, and they could look at Michigan's Mazi Smith at No. 29 overall. Wisconsin's Keeanu Benton is a possibility on Day 2.
