Ryan Yarbrough To Throw Live BP Wednesday
2 years agoKansas City Royals pitcher Ryan Yarbrough is scheduled to throw a three-inning live batting practice session Wednesday as he works his way back from skull fractures. The left-hander was struck by a comebacker off the bat of A's first baseman Ryan Noda on May 7 and was immediately sent to a local hospital. Thankfully, the veteran has progressed well in his recovery to this point he is set to face live hitters for the first time on Wednesday. Prior to his injury, Yarbrough struggled to a 6.15 ERA while his strikeout rate shrunk all the way to just 12.4%. If all goes well Wednesday, he could embark on a rehab assignment sooner than later.
