While Ryan Palmer has largely struggled in Open Championships with six missed cuts and zero top-25 finishes in 10 appearances, his impressive performance last week at the Scottish Open is certainly worth mentioning. The five-time PGA Tour winner finished fourth in his Open Championship tune-up, ranking sixth in strokes gained in putting for the week. We would have been more inclined to endorse Palmer if he recorded that result on the back of his ball-striking. With that being said, Palmer has still put together a solid season. The Texas native has made 11 of 13 cuts this season. There's a decent chance that Palmer finds the weekend, but he is lacking in elite upside.--Andy Lack
