Ryan Griffin Underwent Ankle Surgery
5 years agoNew York Jets tight end Ryan Griffin (ankle) said he had surgery a week ago to repair ligament damage in his ankle. He's looking at a six-month rehab, so Griffin could miss organized team activities. Griffin had 34 receptions (41 targets) for 320 yards and a career-high five touchdowns in 13 games in his first season with Gang Green. Most of his production came as a result of Chris Herndon IV being injured, however, so there's no guarantee that Griffin will be as involved in the offense in 2020. Missed time next spring and into the summer after his surgery could also be an issue.
