Ryan Callahan, Fourth Line Come Up Big In Game 5
7 years agoTampa Bay Lightning forward Ryan Callahan assisted Cedric Paquette’s goal in the opening minute of Game 5, and later added the eventual game winner. Game 5 wasn’t the first time coach Jon Cooper has tapped his fourth line for the opening faceoff, tasking them with shutting down Washington’s top unit. This was easily Callahan’s best game of the postseason; he had just one goal prior to Saturday’s game. Scoring right off the opening whistle set the tone for the game and allowed Tampa to drive the pace of play, rather than having to chase it. Callahan really doesn’t hold much DFS value, as he’s expected to play a checking role more than an offensive one.
