Ryan Blaney avoided the major wrecks that plagued the end of the Verizon 200 en route to a second-place finish on Sunday. He narrowly held off Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott for that result which was not easy. Blaney never did lead a lap but the Team Penske driver benefited greatly from the war of attrition that gripped the race's final stanza. It just seemed there was chaos between the end of Stage 2 and all the overtime laps. In all, there were 13 overtime laps which allowed Blaney to rise a little more each time. Blaney was able to keep his car on the road, That proved to be the best course on Sunday afternoon.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
