4 months agoAfter qualifying was canceled for this week's FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway, Ryan Blaney will start eighth. This will mark the 10th time in his Cup Series career that Blaney will start inside the Top 10 at Michigan. In 15 previous starts at the site, Blaney has one win and eight top-10 finishes, including each of the last three Cup events there. Through 23 races so far this season, Blaney has two wins, 11 top-10 finishes, and an average finish of 14.2. In practice, before it was cut short due to weather, Blaney ranked 13th in overall lap averages, 10th in five consecutive lap averages, and seventh in 10 consecutive lap averages. Based on his practice speeds, equipment, and recent Michigan history, the No. 12 Team Penske Ford driver is likely to maintain a top-10 finishing position, making him an expensive but solid DFS option worth consideration.--Sean Engel - RotoBaller
