Ryan Blaney was mired in the middle of the pack at the beginning of the Pennzoil 400 on Sunday (26th place). His Team Penske Ford ran fast early and he was able to quickly roar up the standings. Blaney finished third in Stage 1 and fifth in Stage 2. He even led a lap briefly when the top contenders pitted. It was clear that his car could not stay with the Kyle Larson Chevy or even Brad Keselowski's Ford. However, Blaney was able to easily drive his Ford to a fifth-place result. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
