Russell Wilson - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football
1 year agoDenver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson didn't have any turnovers, tossed two touchdown passes, and completed 79.4% of his 34 attempts in the team's 17-16 Week 1 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, but overall he was lackluster with 177 passing yards in his first game with new head coach Sean Payton at the helm. Given the opponent, fantasy managers were expecting more, although Wilson was without top wideout Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) and tight end Greg Dulcich (hamstring), who was injured early and didn't return. Jeudy has a chance to make his season debut, but fantasy managers should still temper expectations for Wilson and the Denver offense in a matchup against one of the up-and-coming defenses in the NFL in the Washington Commanders. Wilson is going to have to prove he can be better than the disaster he was in 2022 before being ranked as anything more than a low-end QB2 in fantasy.
