Russell Wilson Wants To Stay In Seattle
4 years agoSeattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson joined several of his teammates in reporting for the final week of organized team activities, a sign that, at least for now, the tension between the organization and Wilson has subsided. Wilson had some frustrations about the way last season went, which led to some trade rumors, but ultimately Seattle is where he wants to be. The 32-year-old never requested a trade, and the whole situation has made his relationships with head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider stronger. With new offensive coordinator Shane Waldron, Seattle's offense is expected to be more up-tempo, which is what Wilson favors. Wilson was the MVP favorite in the first half last year before the offense tanked, and he had a career-high 42 combined touchdowns. Despite the poor finish to 2021, Wilson remains a high-end QB1.
