Russell Gage's Neck Is Fine
2 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles said that wide receiver Russell Gage (concussion) was expected to be released from the hospital on Tuesday. He is dealing with a concussion but "his neck is fine and right now he has all his extremities moving." Gage suffered a scary injury in the fourth quarter of Monday night's wild-card loss to the Dallas Cowboys and had to be carted off the field after being put on a backboard. The 26-year-old should be fully recovered from his head injury to be able to take part in offseason workouts. Julio Jones' arrival scrapped any breakout plans for Gage in his first year in Tampa, and he finished with a disappointing 51 catches for 426 yards and a career-high five touchdowns on 70 targets in 13 regular season games (four starts).
