Royce Freeman, LeVante Bellamy Combine For Five Carries
4 years agoDenver Broncos running backs Royce Freeman and rookie Levante Bellamy saw some extra run in the 19-16 Week 16 loss to the Chargers with Phillip Lindsay on Injured Reserve. However, the two running backs combined for just five carries and 27 yards on the ground and three catches for 12 yards through the air. Melvin Gordon III predictably led the backfield with 16 carries in the loss to the Bolts, and that'll likely continue into the regular season finale against the division-rival Raiders in Week 17. Freeman was questionable to play on Sunday due to a hip injury, but he was active behind Gordon. The 24-year-old could see a bit more work in an enticing matchup with Las Vegas next week, but he's still a reach as far as a flex option for fantasy managers still playing for something in Week 17.
