Ronny Mauricio Slugs Homer on Thursday
Ronny Mauricio went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's 12-3 win against Triple-A Iowa. The 24-year-old has been on a heater since making his season debut on April 27. In 57 at-bats, the top prospect owns a .316/.365/.526 slash line with three homers and five steals. He's posted over a 60 percent hard-hit rate during this small sample and appears to be fully healthy. Mauricio has made starts at multiple infield positions to provide him with defensive flexibility when he is eventually called up. That will likely come at some point this summer. Mauricio's blend of power, contact, and speed makes him a good target in standard leagues.
