Ronald Acuna Jr. Steals Another Base Friday
1 year agoAtlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts in Friday's 8-1 win over the visiting Colorado Rockies, but he still managed to contribute for his team with a run scored, his MLB-leading 30th stolen base of the year and a walk. Acuna became the first player in modern history to record 15 home runs and 30 stolen bases by the 70-game mark in a season. The 25-year-old could become just the third player in history with 30 home runs and 50 stolen bases in a single season -- Eric Davis and Barry Bonds are the others. Acuna is a special player. He's currently slashing .327/.401/.569 with a .971 OPS, 21 doubles, a triple, 15 home runs, 45 RBI, 30 stolen bases and a league-leading 61 runs scored in 319 plate appearances and 70 games.
