Roman Quinn Has Grade 2 Strain
6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Roman Quinn, who was diagnosed with a Grade 2 groin strain, will be out longer than the 10 days on the injured list. “I don’t know what the timetable is but it’s at least several weeks,” manager Gabe Kapler said. Quinn had recently returned from an oblique strain, so it's unfortunate timing, especially with Odubel Herrera also sidelined. Aaron Altherr got the start in center field on Thursday, and it's possible that Andrew McCutchen could slide over as well. Quinn is a speedster that relies on his legs, so the Phillies won't rush him back. He doesn't have much fantasy relevance to begin with, though, as a fourth outfield type for the Phils when everyone is healthy.
