Rockies Talking With Cody Bellinger
2 years agoThe Colorado Rockies like free-agent outfielder Cody Bellinger and have begun conversations with his representatives at the Winter Meetings this week in San Diego. The Rockies would ideally like a short-term deal as they search for an offensive-minded center fielder that is preferably left-handed. Bellinger checks all those boxes. With Brandon Nimmo looking for a long-term deal, he's not a realistic target for Colorado. There's plenty of mutual interest between the Rockies and Bellinger, who is looking for a one-year deal to reset his value after the 2023 season. The 27-year-old was a former MVP and would have plenty of offensive upside at hitter-friendly Coors Field. Bellinger hit just .193/.256/.355 in his last two seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
