Rockies Optimistic About Kris Bryant
2 years agoThe Colorado Rockies are optimistic that third baseman/outfielder Kris Bryant (foot) will arrive at spring training next year healthy after he was limited to 42 games in 2022 due to injuries. "Our trainers and strength guys have checked in with him and from everything I'm being told he looks good. We are optimistic about him showing up (healthy) at spring training," general manager Bill Schmidt said. Bryant dealt with plantar fasciitis for much of the year after inking a seven-year, $182 million deal with the organization last March. But when he was on the field, he hit a strong .306/.376/.475 with five home runs in 181 plate appearances, giving the Rockies and fantasy managers hope that there's still plenty of juice left. Time will tell if he can stay healthy in 2023, but if he can, he could be a bargain in fantasy drafts.
