Roberto Aguayo May Win Chargers Kicking Job
Roberto Aguayo may win the job. The Chargers have allowed Caleb Sturgis and Aguayo to battle it out during training camp, and Aguayo has actually proven to be more accurate so far. Sturgis missed the vast majority of 2017 with a hip injury before being released by the Eagles, and Aguayo famously wasn't able to live up to the hype that surrounded him after Tampa Bay drafted him in the second round in 2016. He was cut before the 2017 season and played in no regular season games last year. Whether either reclamation project can solve the Chargers kicking woes remains to be seen.
