Robby Anderson Proving To Be More Than A Deep Threat
4 years agoCarolina Panthers wide receiver Robby Anderson is off to the best start of his NFL career in his first year with the Panthers. And he's no longer just a deep threat because of his elite speed, but a complete wide receiver. Anderson ranks third among receivers with 36 catches entering Week 6, and he's fourth in receiving yards (489) and first in yards after the catch (223). He also has an impressive catch rate of 76.6 percent, especially since he came into the year with an average catch rate of 55 percent. Anderson has become more of a possession receiver with his new team, with more than half of his routes having a maximum depth of less than 10 yards. The former Jet has been a top-six WR through five weeks of the season (with only one touchdown) and ranks eighth in the NFL with his 48 targets. Even in a really tough matchup with the Bears Defense in Week 6, Anderson needs to be in lineups as a WR2.

Robbie Chosen Elevated To Active Roster
7 months agoMiami Dolphins wide receiver Robbie Chosen was elevated to the active roster ahead of their matchup on Thursday against the Buffalo Bills. Chosen rejoined the Miami Dolphins practice squad in August after appearing in nine games for the Dolphins last season. During that small stint, the 31-year-old caught four passes for 126 yards and a score. Anderson was brought up from the practice squad before their Week 1 matchup as well. On Sunday, he logged just 11 snaps, which was tied for the lowest among Miami wideouts, and did not see a target. Fantasy managers should expect Anderson to serve in a similar depth role on Thursday evening. He should not be considered for any DFS competitions given his current placement on the depth chart.

Robbie Chosen Elevated Ahead Of Week 1
7 months agoMiami Dolphins wide receiver Robbie Chosen has been elevated to the active roster ahead of the Week 1 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 31-year-old has experience in this system as he played with the Dolphins last season. He finished with four receptions for 126 yards and one touchdown in nine games with the Dolphins. He figures to serve as extra depth and is unlikely to see much work behind Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Braxton Berrios, and Grant DuBose. Fantasy managers can continue to leave Chosen on the waiver wire ahead of Week 1.

Robbie Chosen Signs With Dolphins
7 months agoThe Miami Dolphins have decided to bring in veteran wide receiver Robbie Chosen on Thursday. The 31-year-old will head to the practice squad where he can be claimed by another team at any point. Chosen hasn't made much noise on the field in a few years. He finished with four receptions for 126 yards and one touchdown in nine games with the Dolphins last season. He was in camp with the San Francisco 49ers, but Chosen was unable to make the 53-man roster. This is a depth move in case of an injury, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect Chosen to contribute much in 2024.

7 months agoWide receiver Robbie Chosen was released by the San Francisco 49ers on Tuesday. Chosen signed with the team earlier in training camp but ultimately failed to make the final roster. Chosen has bounced around the league with stops in Carolina, Arizona, and Miami over the last two seasons. Chosen recorded four receptions for 126 yards and a touchdown in nine games with Miami in 2023. For now, Chosen will have to hope he can sign on to another practice squad.
