Rob Gronkowski Probably Shouldn't Have Played In Week 8
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said that tight end Rob Gronkowski (back), like cornerback Richard Sherman (hamstring), "probably shouldn't have played" in the Week 8 loss to the New Orleans Saints, but the team is hopeful that Gronk will be back and healthy after the bye in Week 9. Gronk returned for the first time since suffering a punctured lung and broken ribs in Week 3, but he made it just five plays before leaving with back spasms. Sherman did not play a single snap on Sunday despite being active since getting injured in Week 6. Gronk had three back surgeries from 2009-16, but he could be back on the TE1 map in Week 10, depending on how his recovery goes during the bye week.
