Rob Gronkowski, Giovani Bernard Remain Sidelined
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski (ribs) and running back Giovani Bernard (knee) remained out of practice for the second straight day on Thursday. X-rays on Gronkowski's ribs came back negative, but two missed practices have his status up in the air for Sunday night in his return to New England to face the Patriots. But as long as he can practice in some fashion on Friday, Gronk should be available to play and serve as a midrange TE1 against his former team. Bernard suffered a minor MCL sprain in Week 3 and is questionable to play in Week 4. The 29-year-old was a popular waiver pickup this week after catching nine of 10 targets for 51 yards and a touchdown against the Los Angeles Rams. He's worth stashing in deeper PPR leagues, but keep in mind the Bucs likely need to be chasing points -- like they were against LA -- for Bernard to see that kind of target share again.
