Rickie Fowler Checks Some Nice Boxes This Week at Royal St. George's

Rickie Fowler has played in ten Open Championships, and he has only missed one cut. The Oklahoma State product has finished runner-up at Royal Liverpool in 2014, sixth at Royal Portrush in 2019, and fifth at Royal St. George's in 2011! After a disappointing start to the 2021 season, Fowler is finally starting to get his game back on track. He recorded back-to-back top-15s at the PGA Championship and the Memorial, and he is coming off a 32nd-place finish at the Rocket Mortgage where he gained 3.1 strokes on approach. Fowler's short game remains top-notch, as over the last 36 rounds, the five-time PGA Tour winner ranks eighth in strokes gained around the green. Now that the ball-striking is coming around as well, Fowler is a very playable option this week.
