Rhys Hoskins Left Off NLCS Roster
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies first baseman Rhys Hoskins (knee) was not included on the team's roster for the National League Championship Series against the Arizona Diamondbacks, which starts on Monday. Hoskins suffered torn ACL in his left knee in spring training and missed the entire 2023 regular season. However, he's been working out at the team's spring training complex in Florida and could be available to the team if they advance past the D-backs and to the World Series for the second straight season. Even if the 30-year-old is added to the World Series roster if the Phillies advance, he wouldn't be guaranteed a starting role after the extended layoff this year. Heading into free agency this winter, Hoskins should be ready to go for spring training in 2024.
