Rhys Hoskins Getting A Breather Wednesday
3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies first baseman Rhys Hoskins is not in the starting lineup on Wednesday as he takes the day off against the Miami Marlins. Hoskins hit just .138 (13-for-94) with 23 strikeouts and 10 walks in the month of June, but he did manager six home runs, including one on Tuesday night. As strictly a power option, the 28-year-old has been fine for fantasy managers with 17 long balls and 44 RBI, but the .224 average hurts. Brad Miller is starting at first base and is hitting seventh against Marlins right-hander Jordan Holloway on Wednesday. Miller hasn't had a hit since June 8 and is just 2-for-32 (.063) with a homer and four RBI in 19 games in June. You could say he might be due, but we wouldn't want to take a chance on him in DFS.
