3 years agoLos Angeles Angels left-hander Reid Detmers was promoted to Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday, according to a source. Detmers, the team's No. 2 prospect per MLB Pipeline, had a 3.50 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 97/18 K/BB in 54 innings of work over 12 starts for Double-A Rocket City to earn the promotion to the highest minor league level. The 22-year-old southpaw was the 10th overall pick just last season out of Louisville and was seen as a possible quick riser through the Angels system. He hasn't disappointed so far and should eventually become a durable mid-rotation strike-thrower for an Angels team that is desperate for quality pitching. Detmer is a dynasty stash and should be fantasy relevant in single-year leagues in 2022.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
