Reese Olson Slated for One More Rehab Outing
Reese Olson (finger) will require one more rehab start before being activated from the 15-day injured list. Olson hit the IL over a month ago while battling inflammation in his ring finger. However, he's made solid strides in his recovery. Reportedly, he tossed 58 pitches in his most recent outing for Triple-A Toledo and mixed in his changeup on seven occasions. That's noteworthy considering the injury had affected his grip on the pitch, and he threw none in his first rehab start. "He feels really good," Hinch said of Olson, who struck out five over 3 2/3 scoreless innings. "If he continues to take these steps, then we can start talking about when he can get back to helping us."
