4 months agoOn Thursday, the Tampa Bay Rays called up both pitcher Jake Faria and first baseman Nate Lowe from Triple-A. Both players have already been up this season and there's certainly no guarantee they will remain with the big league squad long. Lowe is the more intriguing of the two from a fantasy perspective for now. He struggled during his 10 games in the majors this year, but at Triple-A, he's had an OPS of .938 with 12 home runs and 46 RBI in 68 games. He likely won't find regular playing time with the Rays unless he really forces their hand, so for now, only put him on your radar in deep, deep leagues. Faria, meanwhile, has shown promising strikeout potential, but will likely stick in the bullpen for the near future.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
