Ravens Urging Joe Flacco To Conduct Passing Camp
7 years agoThere has been increased talk for Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco to organize extra throwing sessions with his new receivers, Michael Crabtree and John Brown. The quarterback has only done "Camp Flacco" once in his 10-year career, however. Head coach John Harbaugh said last week that it was "critically important" for Flacco and his new receivers to build chemistry quickly in the offseason. The Ravens sported the 29th-ranked passing offense last year and they lost Mike Wallace and Jeremy Maclin in the offseason and tight end Benjamin Watson, their top pass catcher in 2017. It remains to be seen if Flacco will work with Crabtree and Brown on his own, but the Ravens are only financially committed to him through the 2018 season, so there is incentive on his part. Flacco's new additions should help him and the Ravens could add more in free agency or through the draft, but how much more can he improve on last year's dreadful numbers (3,141 yards, 18 touchdowns, 13 interceptions)? Nobody is drafting the aging Flacco as anything other than a mediocre fantasy backup.
