The New York Rangers have acquired right wing Vladimir Tarasenko from the Blues in exchange for forward Sammy Blais, defenseman prospect Hunter Skinner, a conditional first-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft and a fourth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Draft. Tarasenko was involved in trade rumors all throughout the season as he is in the final season of an eight-year contract he signed with the Blues in the summer of 2015. The 31-year-old forward has scored 10 goals and totaled 29 points through 38 games this season, and the lack of scoring production is partly a result of the extended absence with a hand injury. Tarasenko will join a Rangers team that is currently third in their division, and his fantasy value will increase with this move to a contending team that features a forward core of left wing Artemi Panarin and center Mika Zibanejad.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
