Randal Grichuk To Be Re-Evaluated Monday
2 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder Randal Grichuk (hernia) will play three more minor-league games with Triple-A Albuquerque from April 21-23 before the Rockies will re-evaluate his status and potential return from the injured list. Grichuk went 1-for-8 with three walks and four runs scored in his first two rehab games last week. "He's feeling good; he's tracking towards a return," manager Bud Black said. "This is his spring training. This is him getting ready. He had a lot of at-bats in Arizona; now he's playing real games. He's getting close." The 31-year-old has yet to make his 2023 debut while recovering from bilateral sports hernia in the offseason. The Rockies could use some outfield reinforcements with both Yonathan Diaz (hand) and Kris Bryant (lower body) currently injured.
