Rams Agree With Tight End Johnny Mundt
4 years agoThe Los Angeles Rams agreed to terms with tight end Johnny Mundt on an undisclosed one-year deal on Thursday. The 26-year-old had four catches for 53 yards for the Rams last year while playing in all 16 regular season games. He also contributed on special teams and was a valuable blocker in the running game. Mundt joined LA as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon in 2017 and spent the majority of that first season on the team's practice squad. In the last three seasons with the Rams, he has just nine catches for 84 yards. Mundt was initially a restricted free agent, but the team chose not to tender him by the deadline. He would've been paid at least $2.1 million in 2021 if he had been tendered, which is too high of a price for a reserve tight end.
