Rams, 49ers Implicated In Christian McCaffrey's Trade Market
Christian McCaffrey's trade market. The Panthers were open to dealing McCaffrey in the offseason, according to sources with multiple teams, so a move now wouldn't be a big surprise. He's available under the right terms, but it'll likely take a first-round pick or more. The Panthers restructured McCaffrey's contract in March, pushing his base salary to around the minimum. It means a team acquiring McCaffrey would owe him a prorated version of $1.12 million this year. His contract becomes more complicated in 2023, but if a team is looking for a one-year rental to spark a championship offense, CMC might be a perfect fit. Through six games this year, McCaffrey has 85 carries for 393 yards and two touchdowns while adding 33 receptions for 277 yards and another score.
